So i got this trike non running from my brother for gas money he owned me for picking up this trike and 3 others in exchange for a sled. At first i didn't think the trike was too bad of condition just the normal wear and tear but after closer examination the recoil was full to the top with water, the front shocks were screwed, the seat/pan was rotted, the steering stem was a soild peice of metal with no bearings, the frame was rotted, and i snaped the brake drum getting it off so i grinded the rest off and saved the axle.
i had alot of the extra parts a needed like a frame, axle housing, good seat pan etc.
i don't have a before pic but this is kind of close

i started by stripping everything down and painting with por 15 paint. i went through the top end of the motor, put in a new sprocket, and it looked good so i threw it back together with a top end gasket kit. When the motor was out i also redid the black cases. next i started assembling with a new chain and rear sprocket, bearings, brakes/cables,

after that i spent over $ 350 rebuilding a good set of front forks, i also recovered the seat. Anyways i finaly got it put together except i don't have the handle bar pad that goes on the dash (can anyone in canada help me out?) I took it for a nice long voyage today which was it's first and it runs great.(interested in selling it though for i have too many)

yeah i have lots of projects i really like your latest project though sandpuppi (200m). Today i pulled my 250sx on the bench today because it doesn't shift up properly, and a exhaust stud is broken off, thinking i might tear the whole thing apart and build it up but i dunno it already runs good but needs one starter gear, grab bar, and some swingarm bearings in the next year or so probbaly. it already has a 200x font end and a 2nd gen 250r fender i think with maiers on the back. Also i need to cover the seat i don't like the gray seat cover

i have not done the cosmetic restore to it yet. jus tthe functional restore. I figured why do it right now? It's my only working trike and i need to have something to ride.
