Have you tried adjusting the timing chain and valves? If it has a 200m engine installed it will have electric start fyi.

mine had a knocking noise when riding it at midrange sppeds it came out to be a broken driveshaft (the part eher the nut holds it closer to the rear)

If he has a 200x or m engine it is chain drive.

The 1st gen 200 motors are notorious for having cam chains and tensioners that wear out and cannot be quieted up. I would try to adjust it, almost sounds like loud ticking and scraping and you can hear the chain flapping around.

it does have electric start and im gunna try adjusting the cam chain and im wondering if the seals on the shaft for the sprocket on the engine are the same size for like other atc200 engines cause im not shure what kind of engine it is

Look on the left side of the motor at the bottom above your foot peg and there should be a serial number. Look on here http://www.3wheelerworld.com/spexhome.shtml and see if you can match it up and determine the year.

Lke mentiond above it sounds lke the valves or timing chain. I have seen many 200's with this problem. Although its not a trike the most nortorious bike I've seen for it would be the Yamaha timber wovles or beartrackers.
