so after a few days of timing issues i took my trike out for a spin today.
just my luck i goto the gas station fill up on gas and get some oil i noticed my head was leaking oil? like right below the CDIanyone know what this may be it did not happen before i put a new timing chain on my bike, anyways to complete the day i seen the zipper on my pouch for my tools was broken and i lost ALL MY SOCKETS WRENCHS EVERYTHING BLAAAAAAAAAAH just venting lol :TrikesOwn still anyways i spent 60$ on a 54pc socket set, 9pc deep socket set and a 9pc wrench set :twisted:

If you're talking a honda 200...did you use the same gasket when you reinstalled the cdi.

yes the same seal was used on the cdi

i got some gasket sealer should i put that a round there? or get a new gasket :S

if you're careful with your gasket sealer, it will work. you just don't want to use a TON...it breaks off, flats around, and clogs all sorts of holes up.

the CDI is not supposed to be leaking oil, that means the cam ceal from the CDI or the "o-ring" aound the cdi housing is leaking. you need to see which one it is and fix it.

i have done the same thing i have maier rear fenders on my 200s and theres no damn tool box on the back like stock so i just threw everything on there, so after flying down my field i look back and everything is gone! not happy but found some stuff just had to look for a while

Your biggest mistake was to bring so many tools....

Honda's don't need much :D :lol:

I've learned the hard way to keep the good tools in the garage and pack the cheap chinese jobbers for out on the trails. ;) and wearin a backpack is just a big PITA most times. unless it's filled with beer! :naughty:

If its leaking from the back plate and not the cover then the seal doesn't have any effect.
