I have just 1 inch of play in the chain....is this enough? Seems tight to me, but even with the shock loaded up it doesn't seem to effect the tension as much as my RM250. Is this the kind of tension most people run?
I've been throwing chains lately and thought it was due to the old sloppy chain (already been stretched and had links cut out). I then noticed the sprocket was a little tweaked so I just bought new sprockets and chain. Well, turns out the sprocket HUB is what was tweaked. I used a dial caliper and took some measurements and hammered it back to where it is really really close, but you can tell there is a slight tweak still (about 1/16th inch out). I'm hoping just keeping the chain extra tight will keep from throwing it.
