I have been on the hunt for a set of swingarm bearing/bushing kit for my tri z, it's an 86 model and I am having trouble finding a set, will I have to bite the bullet and go to the dealer (I havn't even tried yet, not sure if they have them or not)? Hopefully you guys can help me out to find a place to get a set for an 86 model, tried dads on 3WO and Jim on here with no luck. Any help would be appreicated.

The banshee pivot bearings are the same part# bearing.
The banshee bolt is the same too.

All balls doesnt make a "set" for the Z

Most of the other stuff(sleeves, endcaps, inner bushings, and torrington thrust bearings) can be cleaned and reused..
If not, They are dealer items only.
It is all still available at the dealer, but will run around $175 or so for all new stuff.

Just make sure you DO have the 86 swingarm..
The 85 took different bearings.

And you are welcome.

thanks for the heads up! Is there an easy way to tell if it's an 86 or an 85? Probably a stupid question but I am new to the Tri Z's.

So I could use an 85 swinger on my 86, I may buy an 85 swingarm, there's one on ebay going pretty cheap with the pivot bolt and then I could get the nylon bushings for it?

No.85 was unique, and no other bushings/bearings crossed over to the 85.

The 86 was the only year that you could substitute bushings/bearings..

Can you post pics?

i run an 85 swinger on my 86 with all of the 85 bearings/etc just for the reason the bearings are cheaper and the previous owner said the 85 swingers were less prone to cracking in a few places

pivot bolts are the same for both years
