On my 85 200s does the ignition coil come apart? I bought a accel 8mm plug cable and I wanted to add it to the ignition coil box and get rid of the current plug wire! Does anyone know of a way to add this wire I bought? Thanks

on my 200e, i could pull the wire out after unscrewing the cap that holds the wire to the ignition.

I think the wire can be replaced

Have you downloaded the service manual from oscarmayer's page? http://www.oscarmayer.net/atc/manuals/

yeah i got it , but mine doesn't have an unscewable piece. If it is pressed into the black box then it must be glued really well. i just want to make sure it is supposed to come apart before i try too hard and break it beyond repair.

well that sucks , i just found out they changed the way they made them in 85 , mine doesn't come out , it's glued in and not meant to come out. I could try but would most likely break it. I'll just keep it the way it is , or buy a new coil all together. i was going to install my Accell 8MM wire i bought.....it's very sexy lol

I wanted to add a different wire to it , one with a plug end where you keep the caps on the plugs . plus my wire is really hard to bend and is stiff as hell
