View Full Version : Bash Plate Or Not, 85r

Whats your opinion on running the bash plate on the stock 250R swingarm? Im not sure whether to take it off or leave it on when i redo my frame and swinger. What does everyone else do on their bikes? Any pictures with and without.

I do not see to many 250r with them on other than people looking for a totaly stock look.

If you value your chain, sprocket and brake disk... I'd run one.

You can't ride anything around here without one.

chris i think he was referign ot the one under the motor on the frame. and i have thme on all 3 of my r;s and 2 or the 3 350x's i own.

I won't ride in the woods without my swingarm skid plate. Like Chris said, the sprockets and chain ain't cheap but what really hurts is when a rock smashes that stuff, and sends the chain into the engine case and cracks it open. That'll cost some bucks!

+1 Swing arm skid plate. Tighten the f %$# on those bolts. Lost one and dangled another.

Hmmm Yeah Brappp I was talking about the one on the swingarm. Not the motor. definately wouldnt run the bike without that! Ill just see what it looks like without it then decide. Thanks

whats the real point of removing it? Its there for a reason
