View Full Version : Any good ways to restore plastics?

I was just wondering if there were any ways to restore plastics WITHOUT total wetsanding ...i did that already to make them smooth but there is still black marks etc ( its just toasting all my sandpaper).......is there some kind of cleaner that renews plastics or something??? (by the way my plastics are yellow on a 225DX ill post some pics later)

Mr. Clean white cleaning pads work really really good to get all the crud out of little scratches, its the white and blue pad that you are supposto use to clean the inside painted walls of your house. Also works great to clean chrome.

Something I forgot to mention if you already got all of the scratches out, you can use rubbing compound as well. 3M perfect it 2 is the only stuff I've ever used, so I don't know if its the best, but it works awesome. You can polish ANYTHING with this stuff. Makes scratches stand out real bad though, and if your polishing something that's painted make sure there's enough on the thing your trying to polish.
EDIT oh yeah if you use the Mothers post some pics when your done!

I just use a heat gun. Takes white marks out too. If you really want them mint. Wet sand and heat gun.
