A few more 225DX problems...........

I just rode my 225DX for the FIRST time...While i was riding it wanted to stall but i adjusted the idle to normal.....Now when i start it it runs a little but then wants to stall when i touch the throttle

sounds like carb problems, clogged jets or water in the fuel try draining the carb. also my 225 did the same thing today my spark plug cap was cracked letting fire short to the head it would idle great i guess the vibration of revving it would move the cap enough to let it arc

if it sat for a long time like mine did you will be cleanin your carb alot my tank has so much goop in it my dad got it new in 83 let it sit from 86-99 what a mess i dont understand why he would leave gas in it but its ok i got if all fixed now

well i only scleaned the carb once but matbe i need to more and i putoctane booster in which is supposed to clean everything out........Also it sounds alot like the other response i got about the spark plug cap it idles in neutral fine but when i put it in first and start to drive it wants to die...........................................:con fused:
