Totally agree there if you are going to say yes to somebody then that is it. Most of the time they are just trying to get more money from you. It must be close to mint big red?

don't do buuisness with them, they are not trust worthy. how do you knwo the bike is in the shape they claim? what is the clutsh is trashed and the piston is bad?
for $1400 you should be finding a mint red, or one very close.

I just saw a Big Red in great condition sell for $300 here, two weeks ago. Economy is killing the values of everything right now. Deals are out there if your patient and willing to look. It is definately a buyers market.

If only it was a traders market!
First come first serve for me... Although, if halfway through a deal I find out I'm getting the short end of the stick and the long pole, yeah deals off.

glad you all seam to agree that these people are dopes. The only reason I'm interested at all is that its an 87. Looks mint in the pics they sent, other than a rip in the seat, and one tail light has a dime size hole in it. Mint bigreds in my neck of the woods go between 1500-2500 bucks easy. theres a guy aroung here with a nice 86, he was asking 3500.00, finally dropped the price to 3000.00:lol: its been for sale for about 3 months. guys are asking 500 and up for junkers.

They sound like idiots. I don't pull that kind of crap. When I sold my car last summer I had a guy coming from Michigan to buy it for the agreed upon $15k. The day before he was coming another guy called me and said he would give $15.5k but I said sorry I have already agreed to sell to this guy for $15k.

anyone can ask anything, hell I'll sell my 200E that's hopepd up for the right price, but the question is what's someone willing to pay for it? It's not what the seller wants it's what the buyer will pay. My attitude is you can start hi, and i'll start low, if your middle is higher than my willingness, sorry charlie, i'm done.

I know where your coming from. I went to look at a 200M that was in really good shape for $400, told the guy I'll take it, but I didn't have a truck with me so I told him I'd pick it up next week. Sure enough call him up next week: "sorry, its sold." Man, I was mad! The moral of the story is people are stupid and money talks.

You could have put down a deposit. The guy that bought my YFZ450 last summer did that. He was in the same situation where he didn't have a truck when he first came to look at it.

^ you got it right there partner! i have gotten some great deals for really good price when I take a wad of $20s out. people tend to start watching the $ and not you. greed takes over them and they would rather have the $ than the item (usually)

yup that's right if I am selling something I would take less then planned for cash now rather then cash later. because you never know if anyone else will have anymore or the same. Especially with the economy right now.
