I've been without a trike for about a year, and need another one!!
a friend of mine has offered me an 87' atc 125m for a good price, mechanically it's excellent and cosmeticlly it needs the rear fender extentions a rear grab bar and the front fender is snapped off but he's got a 250es front mudgaurd he'll throw in!!!
I don't want a trike to ride flat out i've got a kfx450r for that i just wanna have some 3 wheeled fun!!
What do you think?? should i buy it tommorow??? and it is an 87' it would be rude not to!?!?!?!? :wondering

87's were pretty rare, I have never seen one in person. Vertical engine unlike the older ones and it had reverse. For a good price I would be all over that.

Well i've arranged to buy the 87' 125m, i'm picking it up tommorow!!! For £275 its pretty cheap, it's excellent mechanically, it's has had new brake shoes all round, rear tyres, battery and front sprocket recently and the engine sounds sweet like a sewing machine!!! :w00t:
I need to find the black fender extensions for the back and a rear grab bar??
I'll post pics soon.
I had a 86 and parts were near impossable to locate, but it was WAY faster then any other 125 trike Ive ever been on! very fun! its dead now :(

Why's she dead???? can't she be fixed??:wondering
motor is toast, sure it can be fixed but its not worth it, the forks are bent the plastic is shot, the seat is gone the tank is beat etc etc etc.....

87 125m are not rare in the UK because we got all the US's bikes after the ban...:beer

The 1987 125M is one my favorite all time trikes. It has every feature Honda offered in a hard tail. I am envious! You cannot go wrong.

Have looked a little on shipping a motorcycle across the pond since i would like to go visit and prices i have found are around $1200 one way for a motorcycle and the shipping time is estimated to 4-8 weeks. Not an option really, this would be from southern sweden.
Need to look up the option of buying a bike in the US, use and then sell since i can drop the price around 2 grand lower then market value and still save money compared to shipping i guess it would be easy to sell if fast even in a bad economy.
But then its other problems with owning a US plated bike and be a european citizen if that is even possible.
Sorry if i went a little off-topic.
