I was just looking through my Clymer manual for my 84 250R and in the performance section it talks about a Power Canister that is basically just a canister that has a hose to the intake manifold that builds up fuel vapour from low RPMs so when you hit the gas it will suck the vapour out of the canister giving the carb a little extra time to deliver the fuel which gets rid of the lag and bog off idle.....Well this sounds cool and i want one! Does anyone have any info if this actually works and where i can get one? Thanks :TrikesOwn

Boost bottles have come and gone on two strokes. In my experience they make no real difference to the performance and rideability. All they're really good for is adding weight and creating a great opportunity for an air leak. They also make money for aftermarket companies.

Hmmm ok thanks for your side of the situation, I kinda thought it seemed a little ridiculous but who knows! Thanks! Anyone else use one?

I'm not trying to be a dick. In theory it sounds logical enough, but in reality it doesn't do chit. On a dyno it doesn't make a difference and by seat of the pants it doesn't make a difference. On a flowbench it creates more turbulance, but that's about it. Yamaha played around with these for quite a while and was slow to give up on them. A Tri-Z actually seems to run better without one.
They're like those gay little magnets you clamp around a fuel line for better gas mileage.

i don't really care what people have to say about em. I have a boost bottle. I just need to buy an intake manifold that supports one. Or create my own. Idk. They're cool!

I don't think so. I got the machine already built. But the intake says the same thing as the bottle, and I'm assuming it's an intake made for a 250R so...
