I have an 84 200es I really like, strong motor and drivetrain. I have the front end of an 85 250es thats in great shape.....I want to put this on the 200ES. The only thing I see I need to do it swap the "bolt" that goes in the neck of the frame. Has anyone attempted to cut this "bolt" off and reweld it to the tripple tree??? I would really like to so this, I dont want to put the money into that crappy front suspension of the 200es (springs).

Unless you are real good a welding Wouldn't go about. Why would you cut the bolt off? Wouldn't it bolt in easily, if not with a change of the bearing races??

the one off the 85 is shorter, need to weld the one off the 200es(longer) on the 85 tripletree
