Registering my trike

Got an 86 250R that i bought with no title or bill of sale. Can i just make one up and have them run the #s and get it registered or is the DMV going to kill me. I wouldnt think that too many have titles for these old bikes and i dont know who i bought it from, probably wouldnt matter anyways cus he didnt have it registered. Any advice. Im in Indiana.

I don't know you're local laws but I'd guess if you don't have any paperwork to go with, you'd probably have to try to get a reconstructed or salvaged title.

In Pa you weren't required to title an ATV up until a few years ago. The bike may have never had one. You still aren't required to title an off-road motorcycle.

You can do a bill of sale easy enough. Write up a receipt and have a friend sign it.
