is there any swingarm that will interechange with a 85 350x

250x-300ex is what a buddy of mine is running

Machining? I thought the 300ex had a much wider swinger where it mounts

a common thing to do was buy a 85 or 86 350x, steal the motor, motor, wiring, carb, complete swingarm assem. and suspension. It bolts(nearly) right on to the 250x/300ex. I don't see why it wouldn't work the opposite way.

250x-300ex is what a buddy of mine is running

I checked it out not to long ago with putting a 250X swinger on a 350X chasis and with some mod work to the swinger you could make something work out of it.
