Hi atc world,
I give up on trying to solve my fouling plug problem. Anybody know of any good mechanics which charge reasonable prices in upstate ny that I can take my Honda 200s too? I want to save this old girl and ride it, but its just to much of an inconvience right now. Im located in Camden NY
Thanks!

I would check Micro-Bore in N. Syracuse, I get parts from them and have always had good service. I have been to Bristol Racing in Hastings but haven't delt too much with them, they do have a lot of used parts though.
I might be able to help you out with the trike if you need.

(black dry - however I dont think its oil fouled because trike doesnt smoke)
Yeah, I ve tried to fix it and I just cant get it for some reason. (Put new plug in runs great for about 20 minutes then then eventually plug gets to much carbon and plug does not have any spark) I rebuilt old carb with all factory settings, raised drop needel, air ratio, Got a new carb (same thing) repalced jets with old carb jets, tried hotter plug, replaced air filter, nothing seems to really help.
Thanks for the suggestions!

Bristol or Micro Bore are decent shops. Dont go to any dealers, they only know how to change parts and dont even know what a 3 wheeler is.

Have you put a new carb kit in it? It sounds like the needle valve is worn (the thing the float attaches to). An aftermarket carb kit will probably be cheaper then buying just the vale from Honda. I hard to replace mine in the spring.
Also check the stator coil, if it is on its way out it could cause the same problem.

Yeah I put a brand new carb in it to elimante any of those problems, but its still doing it. Im leaning towards something external to the carb like the coil. However it gets good spark, but maybe when it heats up its doing something else until the plug fouls out.

Have you tried adjusting the air mixture screw on the bottom of carb? It takes a very short standard screw driver to fit in there, and is kinda tricky. Set your needle back to the stock setting, 3rd position I think? Start your engine. COUNT the number of turns on the air/fuel mixture screw turning clockwise until the motor faulters (speeds up or slows down) Then turn it counterclockwise until it faulters again. The goal will be achieved when you find the median number of turns. Try to get it between the two as best as possible. Sometimes in the manual, the number of turns is just a reference, and each motor varies. This is what they do at the shops, and isnt too hard to do.
Hopefully this helps. Give it a shot, and see what happens.

Micro bore is great....they worked on my 1989 wetbike , and that thing is way weirder than a trike.....but they also used to sell them back in the day
