OK, I bought a dx earlier this month, and i've been trying to figure out if it is an '83 or '84. I'm thinking it's an '83, but i'm not quite sure. It has the stock '83 twist throttle, but I know that was an option in '84 as well.

Any help would be appreciated!!:beer

Number on the frame is 29U-010207, and heres a pic.

I would have thought they only came out in 84? I say that because Honda came out with the direct competitor 250sx in 85, and I didn't think they were more than a year apart...

I'm going totally on memory...

I want to switch the twist to a thumb throttle. An assembly off an '84 or '85 should work on the '83, right??

I can actually get one from an '83 200E, would that work as well??

Throttle cables are different length on 200 vs 225

Yeah, I figured they might be different lengths. I'll just buy a new cable.
