found off wash. dc craigslist last night. guy wanted $150, its an 1984, missing one grip, got the manual and tools with it.new top end .30 piston 2 yrs ago. i took the plug out and sure enough, new, NEVER BEEN FIRED!:eek: its got great compression and a fat blue spark., new stator and coil.
the plastic is real shiny, no cracks.i cleaned the air filter, and took the carb all apart to clean it. going to ride sometime today.
chewed him down to $50!!:D SOLD!

it rips! the silencer was gummed up, after cleaning it , it runs real strong, alot better than my us90, or the 1985 70 i used to have.
looks like a pipe, reeds , port and pw80 carb is in order now!

clean under the seat too..
p.o. unhooked the oil pump, it stopped working, and blew the top end,i removed the oil tank for a cleaner look.

I have one just like it ... It has been through 3 of the younger kids in my family ... Heck last summer the 16 yearolds had a wheelie riding contest on it ... it has flat tracks and a second set of holeshots ... I have 5 of em ... red one, blue one, yellow one, and two parts bikes, an alt50, and 3 atc70's ... the yt60 will eat all three of em up ... and I drained the carb today ,,, and it started on the first pull .. still has the original piston and ring set from when new ... all original ... all of mine are ... the alt 50 is the worse for wear ... fenders are oxidixed ... if i wet sand and polish them this summer they may look ok ... does the pw80 carb and intake really work on the yt60 ? and wouldnt it load the engine up ? One of mine has a full dg exhaust on it ...

yamahondaman told me he put the pw80 carb on his, i dont know if the intake works or not. he made his own pipe out of a baseball bat!! ,reeds, welded 250r footpegs
jason hall might know, his son has a worked one, but i dont know whats all been done to it.

I wish someone made plastics for them though. Paddles and a set of spacers would be awesome. I want to polish the rear end and intake of mine. Port, reeds, and a larger carb.

I saw that Yamaha actually has a part number for a lighting coil for the zinger too. BW80 front end on it for a taller and skinnier tire with a little more travel, and a front brake.

What kind of pipe is on Yamahondaman's old zinger? It doesn't look like a DG.

i heard you buy the rear plastic through yama ha ha still, but the front is long gone. ronnie made it (exhaust) from a alumium base ball bat, said it ran ALOT better than the oem one.
