Hi guys I just got me a 83 200x and it has original exhaust on it. I got a Cobra off my 200s bike I can put on it. Would it make any diference in overall power for the bike?

doubt it, it won't be a direct bolt on either. not worth the trouble

If you toss on that Cobra pipe, take off the air box lid and jet up the carburetor; it would provide some nice gains from a stock exhaust!!
Who cares how you have to mount it, just do it correctly or add some mounts. The only negative aspect is the added noise that even if you enjoy it, it may piss off neighbors and or affect riding areas.
Cobras are not the optimum exhausts, but they do what they were intended to do.... They add mainly topend power but with allot of noise. A Supertrapp is allot more tuneable but they are tough to find in good shape!!
Be prepar5ed to increase that main jet if you put a better flowing exhaust on.......

hard to take the air box lid off a 225 and keep the air filter in  anyway what dirt crasher said is true but JUST bolting in a header is more than likely not going to give you a very noticeable power change

It may add some power. I didnt notice any on my 200x, and I tried tuning that thing for years. I had a cobra system, cobra header with a 400ex pro circuit muffler, 3 carbs and one which was a 29mm, messed with filters jetting, removed the lid. I didnt notice any more power really. 200x motors dont seem like new quad engine that you can just throw on a pipe and get quite a lot more power. they seem to need internal work done first.
