1983 200x

i got a 200x today from the 2nd owner that seems to be nice so far no problems fresh piston rings n crank 2 days befor i got it. i watched him put them in so i know it was 2 days befor. he told me about everything he knew bout it he said he bought it from a guy just out side of union city tn who raced it back in 83-85. i dont know alot about 3 wheeler racing history but it was oviulsy built 2 race. it has a lonestar or duarblue extended axle he said and some motor mods n he gave me another cam and said it was special n it made it a whole diffrnt bike i only have one pic of it but im gona get some more tomaro. and i will post them it does have some odd mods to the front end that i havent seen befor the tank has bein modified and the front wheel will almost turn 90 degres to the bike it has all original plastic, seat headlight with no craks only thing tht dont work is the kill switch it just has a flip switch now cas somebody tired to hot wire it i guess n broke the slider on the kill switch. i was just wondering if inyone might know somthin bout this bike n that cam has me wondering 2 cas he said he ran it for a liitle wile but the guy he got it from said it was a very rare cam i was told the bike hadnt been rode since 86 when it was parked in a chicken barn n thn the guy i bought it from got it last year. i will get more pics in the morning but heres one from my phone for now. also was told that the guy seem to act like he was big into the racing in the tennese, kentucky area in the 80s

i also know a guy that has a almost rolling frame with a complete front end on it thats in good conditon that i may be get for a good price (free) needs a axle to be rolling and if i get it i have a botom end tht needs a rod but i dont have a a head just a extra cylinder and i have a good rod for the bottom end if i get that almost rooler im gona do a complete tear down rebuild on it should be fun nvr rebuilt a 3 wheeler but i have had a fair share of 250x rebuilds from ground up

just wondering if inyone could tell me more about this 200x the pic is a link to webshots were the rest of the pics are and i was wondering alot about the gas tank how it was cut and set back for sharper turning?

I've seen tanks cut back (or modified) like that before. They did it for flat tracking I believe. Not sure of the pipe. Check the cam for some type of engraving like WB or something. That will help identify it.

when i owned it it had a kenny harman cam in it and a bills pipe but thats not the same pipe it had and i bought it from the original owner, and yes he cut the tank for flat tracking the steering stop has been cut off also so if you put a stock tank on it you will have to weld the stop back on it to keep the forks from hitting the tank. by the way, its a +4 dura blue axle
