When using ether, what is the best way of getting it in the cylinder?

Shooting it thru the carb.
Pulling the spark plug and squirting it in the hole.

i started a yamaha tri moto in -10 weather with quick start by spraying it in the carb while we pushed it down a hill

If I have to use it on a bike, I remove the airfilter open the throttle and spray a little into the carb.

i find the easiest way is to take the cap off the top of the carb for the slide and spray some ether in the hole so it drips down the top of the slide. i seem to find it easiest and it works great! sometimes i just take off my gas tank breather and fill it with gas then dripping it down the slider hole if i dont have any ether.

I remove the airfilter and spray it in the carb, like gofast said.

I usually don't even take off the breather if it's in an air box. Just soak the filter.
