View Full Version : Boyesen Power Reed Question(84 250R)
Well just got home from Silver Lake, got up there pulled my reeds out yup can plain as day see through them when you hold the edge up to light, had to bend them back to flat 3 times before I gave up, Boyesen said that thats fine when I called them after I was towed back up from the first hill. I gave up with it on the last day, it will run great after I bend them back great low end mid and top after it gets hot I will loose low end and it will start to idle high fowls plugs it will act like its missing just run like crap, Can anyone help me figure out this problem before I just sell it and go to a 350x :?.
Thanks

dosen't matter if you have 1 or 100 hrs on them if you can see daylight through them and they don't sit flush on the reed block they are no good.

.... Id try flipping them over first ... just my two.
I tried that they were still open its weird the top reed would be bent up and the other side would be down the bottem one would be just stuck on both sides same with the other side of the reed cage flip them over it would be just the one part down and the other part up the one place for quads and all of that said I might have a bad set but who knows pretty bad when I put in a new plug and a couple mins. later it would be fouled out and woulden't run for crap still.
Thanks
Curtis
