Here in Central N.Y. on Oneida lake there is 6"-8" in the Bays:w00t: This lake is 30 miles long and a mile or more wide, so smaller lakes will have thicker ice and any local farm ponds should be under heavy attack by fanatical ice racers right this minute. :beer
This week here will be in the 20's and below so ice should be good and safe in a week or so. :w00t:

[QUOTE=Meat-BoX;693076]Here in Central N.Y. on Oneida lake

I was stationed right by there, at the old Griffiss AFB in Rome, did a lot of riding, beautiful area.

I'm getting nailed by snow here in Michigan, but I have the bikes apart...

An old guy who slipped on the ice while fishing said there was 3" (fire company got called in for lift support) last week. So i would think atleast 4" by now

Here in southeastern Mass the weather has been weird. 20 degrees, then 40 degrees then 60 degrees and 5 degrees with a windhill....... But, we have certainly had our share of snow, sleet, freezing rain and black ice. So bad that Monday my 10,000lb work truck slid all the way down a hill and couldn't get up another. I turned around and went back home and off to bed. I'm not gonna die in my worktruck.....

This week a 50 something yo man fell thru a pond and drowned: sad.....

Definitely NOT ready for ice racing here yet.

About 8-9 inches around Oakland County. I was up in the northern lower peninsula yesterday to go look at a Big Red specifically for ice fishing. Ended up buying it. It even had a auger attachment made for the front rack. Long day. I'll post pics shortlly.
