hid's run off of ballasts and use around the same output but it would be worthwhile to retrofit a projector to the light... Idk that's my take

the light pictured has an internal igniter and ballast... they got great reviews on another site (GlamisDunes.com) there are quite a few running them on rhinos, and quads... and you really cant find a cheaper HID light (they are around 100 for each light.)
Dammit!

How big are they? Would they fit in one of the desert light bars Ted is making?
Edit: post a link to more info on these puppies.

roffle i can get HID's for 30 bucks with ballasts(old work sells them for cars and i get the discount) so unless the connections are completely different from the HID's to the bikes, i don't think there should be a problem. Picture of acutal HID's used for the lights? +1 on the link por-favor
