Well I have to clean the shop for all these TIGER builds and this CAGIVA has been ornery. After years of playing with TIGERS I got them down....this thing has me down....lack of motor internals, gaskets and just plain tough!! Looking nice but a long way to go on this one...I dont think I'll be able to move this out of the way soon
But here is how it started out.....its come along way!!!

wow you definatly came a long ways with it. I suppose if you know where to look you can find those NOS parts. How did you ever come a crossed this one?

Do any parts from the old Cagiva bikes fit?

Boohoo!
I guess... I should help you.
I'll let you send it to ME!
Looks good! Still having issues with the motor parts? There tough. It's definitely not a Honda. That's why I bought every Cagiva part I could when I saw them come up.
Who re-did your rear shock?
Don't feel bad, mine look a lot like yours does.

Yup 1983 wmx 250. Its actually ready to mount the swinger shock and axle and make it a roller. All those parts are refinished. That will be the goal of the next 10 days or so. I'll update the thread when its on wheels. Yep Mario I have been keeping an eye out but havent seen the seals and gaskets.

What exactly are you looking for as far as internal engine components?

I really like the Tiger's but I'll tell ya what,I remember when I was younger seeing one of those Cagiva's up close at the Pontiac Silverdome when they had the race's down there and how I absolutley loved those machine's,I just could'nt get over them.OC I am deffinatly anxious to see that machine all done up ,and that's gotta make a hellofa addition to your collection .

Pretty sweet, I always liked the looks of the Cagiva bikes. What other bikes used the same engine/components, or was it this one only that did?

in the mid 80s, i want to say 1985 i rode a few times with a dude who had a cagiva. he said his dad was a dealer or something and he always had a back pack full of parts with him.
i asked him about the backpack and he said parts took to long to get.....and this was a new trike....lol
for a 200 the thing flew, took 250s in drag races but i have no idea who he was or what hapened to the bike but i have talked to many guys who rode that area and most remeber the red and green trike....lol
