Was on a tri moto I bought. 3 position shock mount. I don't see any markings on it, but there are a few coats of paint. I thought I asked before I stripped it for primer.
Thanks

I noticed he had split the engine case, and converted it to chain drive. Was this a common move back in the day?
The guy has sheds, a garage, and driveway loaded with all Yami stuff. Stuff from NEW back to the 80's.

any other goodies on this tri moto? sound like a pretty cool yami. i've often wondered what it would be like to have a chain driven 225. maybe they used the 225 cylinder on the 200 bottom.

iam not sure but it almost looks like one of the conversion kits they had to add suspension to the ytm 200's

The front tire is narrow, looks like maybe a 86-87 Tecate rim, with a plate made to fit the pattern? The grab bar appears longer than the others I've seen. After market bars with pad. Rear tires are 21x10-8. Center to center of shock eyes is 16 3/4, adjustable spring tension.

The shock number is 29u-00. If that helps anyone... All the 225dx shocks I saw had black springs though?

Looks like a Yamaha dirtbike shock. Look at the number on the bottom of the sticker, ?9U-00, It is the model of the bike it came from.

EDIT!!!!!!!! 29U-00 is the model YTM-225DXK, DXL, and DXN. So it is the stock shock from a 225dx

Funny, I can read the sticker in French.

I measured accross the front of the swingarm 12 5/16 wide. WOuld this measurement jive on a 200 Tri moto?

Tri-moto 200 don't have swing arm, they are all hardtail.

Sort of looks like a PK Racing swingarm.
I have a PK catalog from the mid 1980's and they sold swingarms that look like this one.
It is hard to see in your pic but it looks to be TIG welded, which is how PK welded them.

Hey guys,
I just put the swingarm on Ebay. I don't have any Yamaha's left anyway. Also put a new Burgard 400ex swingarm as well. More cool stuff to come. Cleaning out the shop, and closet.
