So I took out that 350x the last few days and rode it around in the snow, while I was going around one of the corners I felt a HUGE hit and saw I hit a stump on the axle  Axle is fine, but I blew the bearings out. So... im wondering what I should do and what i shouldnt..

Good:
Front end, handlebars, engine, frame, swingarm, suspension.

Bad:
Rear Plastics, Headlight, No front brake system, axle bearings. Rear brake kinda rusty. Everything has small amounts of rust, grabber is bent, headpipes are rusty and may break the studs.

If I build up, Im going with a all black look, red frame and a red swingarm and seat. Going to replace the rear end and all cables.

If I part out, i know of a few things on this that are sold.

Also, I found a ALMOST NOS set of 86 350x rears, the guy never mounted them, but his son got spray paint on them. I am going to be getting these shipped to me soon hopefully.

Not sure of what I should do. Like the bike, but like the 85 250r I rode this week A LOT more, haha

DUDE!!! that's nothing you should have seen my 200x before I started. Lol there was nothing to part out on it. It's looking good today though that's for sure. If you can get new fenders like you say I would for sure get fixing on that thing. Heck even if you can't get new rear plastic now I would still fix it and buy new plastic later. Tear it down to the frame and start over.

Woohoo! Scored the NOS rears (overspray a lil bit), a swingarm, shock, and various smaller parts for the 1986 350x! Didnt even cost 150 SHIPPED!!!

Definitely going to try and build it up... might do a Casper Trike

before someone complains, you may wanna resize those pics.

That's nothing bud, you should see what all my bikes looked like when I started messing with em.

It's all in the build.

buy good stuff the first time around or get everything working with old parts...and then slowly sell them while swapping things for brand new parts. It's a sure way to end up with a beautiful bike.

dude why woudl you get rid of a good 350x? that's nutz!!! do you need meds? ;)
seriously, for now, fix the rear and enjoy it. brake fixes are simple. jsut fix the mintor stuff, leave the plastics for now and jsut ride it till you get all the new parts you need to do it at onetime, then do the restore .

Reason I may part out, is because I might have a new ride that I have been looking for high and low for a while now. If the guy sells, then my ATC's, Pilot and Odyssey are going byebye

Please don't part it out.
Like coal and oil, ATCs are non-renewable resources.

Also, yours is a only couple parts away from being a reliable daily rider.

Lets see the Pilot? Not to be rude but have you asked if the item you want is ready to be sold, inwhile?
Remember the same guys telling you not to part it out will still bid on your items.
I agree in trying to keep these machines whole as much as the next fan. You know as well as I do the parts bring more than the entire unit...If you consider time shipping and packing material plus paypal% and ebay maybe I'm wrong. Still like to see your Pilot...I love those things...cool as Trail Pro!

I ask about once every few months. Last month he wanted to sell for 6500. But its in the bottom of Cali. Basically its the same stadium lite racer my dad had when I was a kid, I had been tracking it down since I turned 18.

I get boxes and packing material for free, so im good on that.

I have parts on order and coming for the 350x... if it works, then i'll keep it. If not, and its not to my liking, its getting the boot.
