Ok guys, I'm just going to get a 70cc jug again for my ATC 70. The question I have is I found cheaper carbs on ebay. I know the 70 has a 16mm carb and I found a 19 and 20mm carb on the bay. Is it possible to just swap this carb over to my engine?? What problems might I encounter with it once I get it on?? Flooding, to lean, rich?? Thanks for your help

Another question is can I use a CT70 carb on this machine. I believe they are a bit bigger in size also. I know that the fuel and choke will be on the wrong side but that is not a big deal.

I guess the set up I'm looking at doing is this.

New China made 70cc jug or even the 88cc jug from Dr. Atv
Stock Head and cam
bigger Carb 20mm

Will there be a problem running this settup

lets ask this, what's you final goals? that's going to determine what you need. any carb can be made to work. will it bolt on? you'll have to see. but, you will for certain have to re-jet and tune it. so the real question now is, where do you get jets for that?
1 answer. dial-a-jet seems to be the best respince of anything so far. i priced out the cust of buying the different jets for my 200e hot-rod and the 30mm carb i got for it. why? i will need a set of 10 different sized jets and 3 different sized needle jets and 3 needle sizes. it costs more than a dial-a-jet in the end and it take s a ton more time get your motor tuned.

I'm betting your gonna want to stick around the stock size if your keeping a stock motor. Event if you were to install a big bore kit, cam, pipe, and high flow filter, I dont forsee you going beyond 20mm. I have never modded a 70, so I may be off, but being as how small the motors are they are gonna have a harder time with bigger carbs as opposed to a machine with 3 to 4 times the displacement

I bought one off ebay from China. Had to change slide, was smaller and lines were opposite. Was no big deal and it rips on my 79/85 hybrid 70!! Honda 70's were jetted pretty lean by honda so I think a 20 mm would be o.k Got one on my new krp 70 project, 40.00! Cant beat that...... good luck on3eatin'4
