What were the tires that came stock on a new 350X? I remember mine all looking the same, front and rear, and I think they were called Pro Vector or something like that.

Anyone know the manufacturer, model and size that they came with?

Ohtusa is the manufacture, pro vector is the model 22x11x9 is the rear size 23.5x8x11 is the front size. Ohtusa tires are only avalible through Honda

your right about the 22x10x9 but wrong about the 24x8x11.

for the record 22x10x9 R

Just so you don't think I pulled this out of my ass:
These pages are from a 2003 publication available at Honda shops.
Also while flipping through a pile of old "3wheeling" magazines, I found out that the '86 models 200x, 250r, and 350x ALL came with a 23.5x8x11 front tire. But that tire is no longer available and Ohtsu provides the following recommendations:

If you look close at the picture with the ATC models listed, they have little "OE"'s for original and "OP"'s for optional, and for 350x, they show the 24' tire as OE.

THOSE F'N LYING BASTARDS! Making me F'N look bad!

Course if my man is going to buy new tires, what came on the bike won't do him any good if thats not whats available now. So whats up JayP, you buying tires or collecting trivia questions?

Well since I am doing this rebuild for a nostalgia rush and to try and relive my earlier days I thought it would only be fitting to put Pro-Vectors on it. I can remember those spongy half-flat feeling blobs under me on a hot Sunday afternoon as I smoked down the highway to get to my friend's turnoff as fast as possible before a cop saw me.

But after this thread I am corn-fused enough to just go with Plan B and get a new set of Holeshots for the back and stick with the 24" goodyear out front. Besides how much are these Ohtsu tires only from Honda? I assume they are more than aftermarket. I have Carlisle Badlands on the back now, which look like Holeshots. They are good except the outside edge tread is worn down and the left one goes flat daily. Do they still make the carlisle badlands??

This has been a very good thread though, thanks everyone.

The "24 inch" front is $42.95 from servicehonda.com and the OE rears are $41.63

You can go with the PV701Z which has the same tread pattern but is 2 inches shorter, not so squishy feeling, very good slider.

Or if you want the smoothest ride, go with the MR501, stock on the 400EX and a radial tire. Very plush ride and still a great slider.

If it was mine, I would go with the original 22" rear tire, cause I could use the extra ground clearance.

and if you look on the side of the tire that came on both my 350X's that i bought brand new and every other 350X that was sold it says 23.5x8x11.

Yeah, no $h1t. Re-read my posts and you'll see that I admit that twice.

Once where I looked at the 3wheeling tests on the 86 Honda ATC's,
and again where I said the Ohtsu book was wrong.

Thanks for playing, have a nice day.

I thought that they looked the same. I didn't know that they used both brands. I learn a little more each day! :-D
