ATC 70 Jug question

Hey everyone, I was looking on the Dr. Atv. I ran across the 88cc jugs, I was wondering if I would have to change the head and carb also to fit the bigger cc jugs. Does anyone know?? Thanks

You don't need to change the head but putting a bigger carb on it would be advisable. It seems that the newer atc 70s had smaller carbs than the earlier ones. I,m not sure what the exact difference is though.

Mine is a '81. Not sure if this carb was a good one or not. Would I be better off just spending the money on the whole kit from Dr.ATV. I think it runs 299.99. I just cant seem to get mine running with the original stuff and I think I need to have my jug bored, and head taken care of. I would think that I would have just as much into it getting it all machined and stuff. What are your thoughts

In the early 90s I had a 74 and an 84 and the 74 could run circles around the 84. The only thing that I could see that was different was the carbs. It looked like the 74 had the same carb that they put on the ct70s.
