The the 85-86 R and 85-86 350X use the same front sprocket?

No I dont think so. 350x has 2 10mm bolts and the R has a 12mm center bolt. Unless your asking about the tooth size?

Im wondering about the counter shaft size.. Ive got a sprocket off of a 250R that has the two bolt holes like your talking about on the 350X, so I was wondering if the counter shafts were the same size?

Hmm Im not exactly sure but I dont think they are. For some reason Im thinking the R is bigger?

the 250r and 350x are exactly the same on the shaft.

thats how i get my 15t sprockets....sunstar makes the R spockets with the 350x mounting holes.
