Or even which one would you like to get if you had $2000.

I would like to get a 84 Tecate if I had $2000 to spend. Always liked them. Little different from the norm.:TrikesOwn Who knows, maybe I will get one next year. The other would be a 84 2nd gen 250R.:TrikesOwn

The best trike I have had so far was my 250R. My 350X comes very close. Then my 225 DXN.:TrikesOwn

I told myself that one day I would have a 85 350X and a 85 250R. The pinnacle of three wheeler racing. Now I can die peacefully!!!

I feel very happy now that i have them. Everybody should have a chance to own a 350X and a 3rd gen R.:TrikesOwn

Gotta go with the Tecate 250. I'm purely in love with the brute power and overall reliability.

Each of my trikes has something special I like about it, from my suspension
70s' to my 350x. The scariest so far is the Tiger 500, but, I haven't had much of a chance to ride it anywhere. The Tiger 250 is finished being rebuilt yet, but that will be my first full blown rebuild so that will always hold a special place. My little 110 I had for years when I was growning up and then went into the navy will always have a special place too. Like I said, all my trikes are special and most of them are unusual.

Had to be my very first trike...Yamaha tri moto 125 with adjustable tire pressure suspension...lol Brought home new in 1983 in the trunk of my mom's car on a cold snowy Ohio winter night with the front tire hanging out. You know that feeling the first ride, smell of the new engine, first crash, smell in the back of the ambulance, feeling in the hospital....wow the good old days! Still having them....lol

I have 20 running trikes right now, And I have two 1986 atc250r's, one 1984 tecate and a 1985 Tri-Z. But I would have to say my favorite would be a toss up between my 1986 atc200x and my 1985 Big Red.

I've had a ton, but I have to say by far was my first Tri Moto 175. I was 14 and let me tell you, there isnt a tougher machine out there. God we beat that thing. Not near as fast as everyone on the boards seem to think though.

The title of the thread and then the poll question confused me a bit. I chose Tecate because the Tecate's I have had are by far my favorite trikes because they are attention getters, the power and hard hitting powerband is just fun and Tecate owners always had bragging rights in the "fastest" catergory.

With that said, the BEST trike I ever owned was my 200S. I put that thing through hell and back. Used it to pull full size hey wagons and give people hey rides. Rode it everywhere and it just kept taking all the abuse and just kept on going. The dependability of that trike was unmatched. The only time I didn't like it was once when it stalled on the middle of a hill climb. I stepped off and since the trike was on the hill at the angle, it was awkward to get into position to pull start it to get it back going. I pulled the chord real hard to fire it up, problem was in the position I was in, my hand came in a straight line toward my face. Unfortunately the rope chose THAT instant to break. I literally thought I broke my nose, I punched myself so hard. My nose was bleeding and my lips were both swollen and busted up. I seriously busted myself up pretty good. It was not funny to me at the time at all. All my friends who were watching the fiasco were rolling on the ground. I can laugh now. But on that tday and for a long while after that, i could not find the humor in it. Still, best most dependable trike I ever owned. I wish i still had it.

BTW, Tecate's are not as undependable as the rumors claim. I never had a problem with my 86 back in the late 80's early 90's. And the 85 I have now was put through the ringer and it took my a couple of days to clean the carb, get a new plug and get it fired up after it had set for a long while and it runs strong. The ignition is the Tecate's downfall. Easily fixed though. I wish more people would give Kawie more credit for such a great trike. And you can;t go wrong with the simplicity, yet raw power o the 85 T3.

Sorry for the long read.

I didn't vote. I can pick out something I like about just about each of mine. But for some reason I am really taking a liking to this 86 200x, which seems kinda weird to me. lol.

The coolest looking and fastest was the late model T3, but all around the 87 200x was the best i ever had.

My favorite bike i had so far was my 84 200m. Looked pretty stock but I had a xr200 motor in it. That was about 2 years ago and long gone. I still regret selling it. One of the funnest things i ever had.

The best one I"ve ever had as far as reliablilty was an 85 Tri-Z, the worst one I've ever had is a 350X, pretty much every 350X I've ever had.

I gotta go with my MDR 600X as far as being my most favorite trike. That machine has opened new page's to my year's of riding and racing experience, but that's kinda a slideby .As far as oem I would have to go with my 1st ever '85 250R,and I got that when I had already been riding for 15 + year's.

But like has been said,I've had so many machine's that it's kinda hard to choose ,cuz each one does hold something about each machine.

My best trike ever is the Big Red 250.
I own three of them.
Those trike will run all day long and they never let me down.
On a normal hunting day. the are running sometime more than 10 hours a day.
I know that if i want to have some fun, i use my 85 R or my TRi-Z, but if i have to only own one...... make it a ...250ES....

250sx! The thing is a tank and will go anywhere! I sank it in a deep pond once, pulled it out and it fired within 3 mins. Reverse is nice to.

Didn't vote as I don't care for performance 3wheelers. I still own my favorite. I love my '83 ATC200.

haha, this poll looks like a high school popularity contest. I wonder how many of the people who picked Honda have actually owned a 250R?

i would say that 90% of alls trikes sold were ''HONDA''. The reason why they sold so many of them...... they are the BEST.

85 250 Big Red...hands down for utility. 86 250R for pure fun..hands down. Althought my Yamaha YTM200EK, comes in close, if only it had a suspension it would have been awesome.

Just like when N'SYNC releases an album and it sells 10 million copies it's first year and no other album comes close to selling that many, it means N'SYNC is the best? OK, I understand it better now. Thanks.:naughty:

I have had my BR since I bought it new in 85. For what I got it for was to use on fishing trips in the Canadian bush around Chapleau, Ont. I have never had any "performance" type other than a 85sx and that is sort of half way between performance and utillity. The BR is still going strong.

Hoosier_Daddy, where i come from (Quebec, Canada) honda are the only trikes that we are seeing. There are a few Yamaha but only 1 out of 10. I know that your tacate is the fastest trike ever made and i would kill to be able to find a 1986 tecate for sale, but there i never saw one yet. I own 28 trikes and there is nothing yet to replace my BR250.

I just compared the poll to a high school popularity contest because most of the votes for Honda are coming from people who never owned a 250R and the poll is for performance trikes. I was just giving you a hard time because you said Honda is the best. Nothing personal. Just friendly ribbing.

It's fun picking on the Honda guys since I'm a Kawie guy and I'm sure plenty of Honda guys feel the same way. It's all in fun. But I do have to pose a question for you, if you have never had the oppertunity to own anything except Honda, how do you "honestly" know Hionda is your favorite? If the only restaurant I have ever eaten at is McDonalds, how could I be sure I wouldn't like Taco Bell better?;)

It wouldn't be fair to say my personal current T3 is the fastest. It's never seen a race since I've owned it and it's in pieces being redone right now. So, I can't back up jack squat at this point with my current T3. haha:eek: The 86 I had back in the day, That thing was awesome. I miss it. Hell, I miss those days. haha
