250sx reverse?

i took the right side cover off to see why the kicker wasn't catching and got that figured out i put it back together and now it will drop in reverse without pulling in the handle i checked the cable it sems ok to me but im not real sure. could i have put something together wrong i checked it over my thinking is the peice the reverse cable attaches to on the inside i would like to figure it out before i tear it down again i dont think its electrical from what ive read but who knows thanks in advance

Were the kicker gears a problem?

I think I did this before. Theres a piece that has to slide in just right,,,,

yea the one way bearing is bad. i was just thinking that maybe i was in gear when i put it back together and that piece with the spring is in the wrong spot thats what i was afraid of i dont want ot go out in the cold and tear it apart again
