i am going to repace my one way in my 85 250sx and was wondering if there was any way to maintain it so it will last longer there kinda expensive for no more than they are

i believe they are called a sprag and i know of nothing special to do

Sprag bearing? Does that have to do with the centrifugel clutch or something?

Isnt there 2 one way bearings on the 250sx's? One on the clutch and one on the flywheel for the electric starter? Which one are you talking about?

You're right that they call it a 'sprag' clutch and the only way to preserve it is 'don't ride the thing'....

But unless there is something wrong, you should'nt be replacin this more than once every couple of years...

I have seen this problem a bunch of times. It's the one that just makes the kick starter slip. I think we have around 3 that do this and it's like $80 to fix it.

yea its on the clutch ond they are about 80 bucks i guess ill just have to fix it and ride it till it goes bad again lol
