as far as i know they're is no big bore kit for the 250 es/sx/trx 85-87. the 300 is actually a trx300 fourtrax engine that can be somewhat easily swapped in the 250's place. you have to change the drive angle to make it work as well as some wiring mods, search the threads for 300sx you will find a guy who has a 300 in a 250sx. also the diffrence between the 250 and 300 is stroke not bore, actually they have the same bore, but i beleive the 300 motor has about 7mm more stoke. which makes the 300 very torgue'ee.

no there was a 300 big bore kit offered for the sx/es back in the day. i guess they were pretty sweet, but impossible to find now.

i believe oscarmeyer is trying to get some high comp pistons made for the sx/es might wanna look for that thread, he was lookin for people interested in purchasing them so he could have someone put a run on.

yeah i saw a guy who had a 300trx motor in his sx but sold it off before it was done. havent seen it since. The Big Red is already a tourqey work rig. I would love to see a 300cc one. Be it would be awsome.

that may not be entirely true, i think its one of those i believe or have heard deals or the trx300's may not have any high comp pistons on the market.

the trx300 88-00 has a wiseco 10:25 to 1 piston availible, and you cannot use a 300 piston in a 250 becuase of where they placed the wrist pin, it's higher up on the 300 piston
