There are a couple of critical items that the 86/87 has discontinued..... I'm looking into some of the items swapping although the part numbers have changed slightly.
Of course we all wish we could rig the electric start up from the 200SX to the 200X and I'm not thoroughly convinced it can't be done - not just yet anyhow..........
I found machining within my 87 cases that made them similar to the 200SX electric start stuff, especially behind the flywheel that leads me to believe something may be possible.
I may have to buy a junk used quad motor to see whats up!
Does anyone know how many speeds the 200SX was in 86/87 and 88 (last year I believe)?? Did any of them have reverse and were they auto clutch in any year??

A few of you have looked into a direct motor swap and found that it will not work, but the GUTZ may be another story...... :D
