Why? There are plenty of trikes to work with. There are less bw200's really. I put a tri z front end onto a bw200 though. The bw200 was never really a big powerhouse so I my opinion it would be just a big waste of time and money. And it would be easier just to find yourself and nice trimoto 200 and fix that up.

If that is what you desire, then go for it. I would just fix the bw200 up nice. They aren't fast or powerful, but they'll damn near go through anything. Mud, creeks, and the snow we get around here don't affect it. Now snow in Alaska???? I use it to tow the neighborhood kids on their sleds and saucers! A rope or 2 tied to the back of the frame and you're good to go! The saucers are the best!!!! Whatever you decide, have fun.

I wouldn't convert it but I might steal the motor. I was thinking of robbing the motor from a e-start BW200 to put in a YTM200. Then you could ahve e-start and a manual clutch.

If I remember right the electric starter is on the front of the bw200, isn't it? Would that be a space problem in the 200 frame? A good idea though if it fit. Maybe you could switch the gearboxes? Just a thought.

The starter motor is in the front but that is where it is on te YTM200E so it might work anyways.
TriMotoMan, not all BW200's were e-start, only the newer ones.

85, the first year for the bw, is kick start only. 86 and later bw200 are electric and kick start. I believe the bw350s were electric and kick also.
