Check out the link I have pasted below. It's a parts breakdown of your 83R swingarm. Item 23 is the bearing dust cover and Item 28 is the bearings. they are inserted into the left and right edge of the bearing carrier. Just take something like a metal chisel and drive them out with a hammer. Insert the chisel in the left side of the swingarm to drive out the right side bearings. Hope this helps.

i have found a blind hole bearing puller to be a great investment. you should be able to snag a good set for around $120 off ebay or something.

The best way to remove and replace axle(or hub) bearings are. Put the item on a hot plate or heat the center with a propane torch, the aluminum will expand some, take a punch and hit the bearings out, they will take very little to come out. You may have to hold the carrier with a hot glove or pot holder. Now before you started heating the carrier, put the new bearings in the freezer for at least 2 hours. Once you get the bearings out, use a rag and clean the carrier. Now heat the carrier again(shouldn't have to heat it too long), take the bearings out from the freezer, they will drop in. Don't forget the center sleeve between the bearings. With 2 big sockets(or pieces of wood), hold the bearings in place for a minute, they will try to drive themselves out from the hot-cold expansion and contraction. When everything is cool, put grease on the outside of the bearings and push the seal on. Beware, the first time you ride your bike with the rebuilt carrier, the axle lock nut will loosen soon after starting riding. You should only need to tighten it back up once. I've used this with axle carriers, quad front hubs and did a variation of this for aftermarket clutch baskets(basket in toaster oven, spline gear in freezer and spline gear goes right in. ABSOLUTELY DON'T HIT THE BEARINGS.
