View Full Version : triumph 500 trike any advice?

Looking to build a trike using a 250r honda trike rearend grafted to my 67 triumph 500 motorcycle.Has any run a live axle on the street ?I will be running wide car rims maybe 15 inch x 8 inch.Any advice or pics are great .Thanks

I dont know what the laws are like in Canada, but in order to run a trike conversion on the road in the states, you cant have a locked axle, you need an open differential, like a limtited slip or something.

Most motorcycle trike outfits use a modified car rear end for a trike conversion. You might be better off using the triumph frame and looking to graft a small car rear end to the triumph swinger.

tri-z not in texas. it can have a locked axle. :)

It sounds like you can get away with anything in Texas, I guess thats why the Cowboys always had a good team. No one ever got in trouble, someone was always gettin arrested for guns=n=drugs, but they were always on the field the next day:lol:

no real laws re. live axles in ontario canada but i was woundering what it will be like going around courners at say 70,80 or 100 kms ?
