Hi all, just was wondering if it is possible to put a six speed tranny out of an 1983 xr200 in a big red 200es bottom end??:wondering

not worth it, if you want more speed buy a 250r or something, or regear your trike.

The XR is chain drivin, the big red is shaft, even if everything bolted up it still wouldnt work.

I agree, If you want to go faster, buy a faster machine.:crazy:


The Big Red is a utility machine. The suspention is not for faster than what it is. It is too heavy to through around and is unsafe for racing. If you want to race get a 200X,250R, 350X, hell even a 250sx is better. I have owned the 200es and the newer 250es and sold them to get faster machines. Leave the ES alone.;)

6th gear won't necessarily make it any fast - another gear just means the closer rations.

I know, it was a dig at people thinking a 6 speed is another higher gear on top. See my posts on the fastest 2-stroke thread. :lol:
