Cheap as hell if it is... Before I make offer would like to confirm. I emailed them asking if I could get VIN and what manufacture badge says on side of frame.

Definitely not an 87 unless they went back to aircooled. Probably an 84. Still a good price. I'd be checking it out.

I'm pretty sure that's an 83. It's possible an 84, but def not any other model.

Whoaa!! Working headlight is a big plus...
83-84 but we all figured that out by now, appears to have a aftermarket exhuast wich is a plus, I cant tel by the pic but the cyinder looks big and square indicating a possible hondaline 300 kit.
I would check it out and wave 650 cash in their face.

No matter they have not bothered to respond anyway. I figure if it was an actual 87 then I would shell out the funds and put it away for another 25 years. But sence it is not. I will pass. Plenty of cheaper ones out here. Beside for some reason I like project trikes. Something fulfilling about bringing something back from the dead :w00t:

good price for an 84'! the only 87' i have seen was in the honda ad in 3wheeling magazine back in the day and it was all white along with almost all the other hondas! never seen an 87 250R make it past the dealerships after the ban in 86'. WE ALL KNOW THE OTHER MODELS THAT DID MAKE IT.

I spotted that exhaust too. It looks a lot like the bassani that 1upfront has on his 83r. You could be right about the 300 also.

It does indeed look alot like a Bassani pipe - you can't see because of the plastics but it looks like quite a bend/drop behind the plastic where the silencer meets the header pipe - same kinda design that my Bassani pipe has.
Too bad the pics aren't bigger.

87's probably used to exist, but honda destroyed them all IMO. I dont think anyone will ever find a 87 R or X(besides the 200x's of course)
