250r Float level

How do you set the float level for a 1985 250R I've never done this before and would like to check my float level when rebuilding my carb. Thanks.

what carb do you have ? the stock pj or another style?

The stock hight is 16mm from the base to the float.

Here's my question, where do I measure to on the float?
