Just Was Wondering If Anybody Thought Of Cutting A 1984 Trx 200 In Half With Rear Suspension, And Cutting A 200es In Half And Graft The Front Half Of The 200es To The Back Half Of The Trx 200, Thereby Giving A 200es Rear Suspension.... Anybody Seen Or Done It?? It Should Be Possible, Considering The Fact That They Share Many Of The Same Componants....give Me Some Opinions Or Sugesstions, I`m Open To Them!!

Thanks!
Tyson

I should also add that I have both the bikes to do this with and the time to do it...

Where exactly would you cut it? Meaning which engine would you use? Think I'd try to use the TRX motor if possible, doesn't it make a bunch more power, it's more like an 86/87 200X motor correct?

Why not just sell the 200TRX and 200ATC and get a 250ES(Big Red)?

The 200 doesn't have the power the 250 has and you can put ALOT of $$$ into this project and on a resale you would get $0.00 for all the parts and work.

As long as you have a couple of beaters that you don't care about and you don't ever plan on selling. Then go ahead and do it.

PS: keep the TRX engine, It already would have the suspention built into it.

both motors are identical, so it doesn`t matter. no it`s not like the 86-87 x motors. remember both bikes are 1984....as for cutting, I think I would cut low on the backbone, and just behind the foot pegs.....

well I get bord easy, and I don`t like the 250`s as much as the 200`s. Therefore I like creating what honda should have did in the first place...So selling a 200 and buying a 250 is not an option....

They are the same motors.. I guess I should have said,,, Keep the back half of the TRX. (which is connected to the TRX Motor)

I have thought about doing this in the past ( 6-7 years ago ) when I owned a 84 trx200. I had everything drawn up and the trike frame was marked to be cut. But a guy stopped in and made me a offer I couldn't refuse on it. He had 1 and wanted another for his wife. They still ride the machines and told me they would let me know if the ever decide to sell them.

I wanted to do the swap just for the purpose of having a custom machine that very very few ( if any ) other people had.

The 200SX quad has the 86 87 200X topend,, and the TRX200 is just a 200es with a quad front end and rear sus..

Do you have Photoshop? All you have to do is load the pics in photoshop, then hit save as, and then pull the quality slider all the way to the left. It should tell you what size it is also. Sorry if I jumped to conclusions, but most people have the same problem: picture is too big. BTW I use photoshop element 5.

o.k here are a couple of pics of it in mockup. I now have to find some pipe to slide inside the frame in 3 spots to strengthen the joints....I also have to find a front hub\ brake drum \ axle assembly
