I'm needing a head light bulb for my 84 250R (missing), 86 200x(missing) and 85 250R(low beam out). I'm sure I'll end up needing more too.
I haven't priced them out yet, but I'm sure I'm looking at near $40 for 3 bulbs which is rediculous. My cousin needed a head light bulb (sealed beam) for his 1985 Harley and the dealer wanted $85! He went to autozone and matched up the exact same thing for $6, it's exactly the same!
Any other options like this? Can I get them at autoparts stores? Anyone have any tricks? lol.

Yes - you should be able to find a match at the auto parts store. I have bought Big red bulbs and 200X bulbs at my local Car Quest.

Anyone have a part number I can just plug into Auto Zone's or O'reilly's site? The Honda part number is mc7-601ah but it is not cross referencing for me. They are only $5.45 on servicehonda which was surprising. So I can get my 3 bulbs for $16.35 but even without paying tax I'm sure the shipping will kill that deal.

Looks like the Stanley part number is A5988 but none of the big-name auto parts stores find that in a search.

i'd used to hotwire car bulbs into my old snowmobiles, and if the light blowes in my 3 wheeler i say i just might do the same.

Just take your bulb in there and match it up. I have a Silverstar bulb in my 86 R.
