How much did you pay for your Tri-z ?
How much would you be willing to pay for a nice one ?
I found a nice one but he was asking $3000 for it and now after 3 months, he is willing to let it goes for $2000. Is it too much?

Is it the one on lespac?
It looks to be a very clean trike. If I had the money it would be mine.

Being a 1986 makes it worth a little more in my opinion, so yes it is well worth that seeing how nice of condition it is in.

I have been wondering the same thing. I have had my eye on an 85 Tri-Z thats been sitting in a Horse barn for 10 years at least. I just met up with the guy last week at a party and he said $1000 and its mine. He said it will run and other people have said the same. Ive checked it out personally a few times as its in my friends barn. Its all there but you really cant tell because of all the grime on it. Im sure it will need work from it sitting, but I was thinking of showing up with $750 cash and see what happens. I just need $750 and that number is like $75000 to me. Im a broke ass fool:welcome:
Maybe I would hook someone up here with it if I really cant swing it. I must go back and get pics. Man Ive wanted this Tri-Z for so many years.

If its as described is it worth $1000 with out seeing it run or make him clean it up and get it started for a grand?

Just my opinion, A thousand sounds a little high for a trike that has sat for years and you can't test ride it and it is covered in "grime". You pretty much can guess that when you do get it up and running, once you start riding it the bearings will go bad from setting. I bought a trike years back that sat in the bottom of a cow barn for one winter, the acid in the manure rusted alot of parts on it quick for just being in there for a winter. I f you could get it for $750.00, that puts a little in your pocket(maybe:lol: doesn't work that way here. ) to buy parts with.

Yes this is the one.

Yeah, $1500us is quite a deal for that tri-z, it looks to be well taken care. Also it is probably very rare to find that in Canada in that kind of condition. I say go for it if you have the $.

I agree that $1000 is too steep for a barn find. With that kind of $ you should have something ready to ride needing very few things done to it. Start with $750 cash. You would be surprised how low people will go if they see the cash in hand.

The one for $1000 was a different guy.

So what's the ride report? You got a permanent grin glued on your face, and the lingering smell of two-stroke oil in your brain yet?

I bought the 1986 at $2000 cdn. I know it very expensive but in Canada, trikes are not cheap. It was for sale since july at $3000 cdn and after 6 months it said yes to my offer.
