My mechanical advance sounds like its about to fly apart so I'm thinking about swapping it out with a good used one sometime but what I'm wondering is about the springs. I know on automotive stuff you can get curve kits which consists of various springs to control how easy or how hard the advance flings out and actually advances the timing. Seems like something similar could be done to the advance on a 200X could it not? Seems like it would be more of a trial and error thing. Maybe sacrafice one spring by stretching it out a bit to make it fling out easier? Just a thought.
