I am running a 85 honda 350x on the ice with 19-10-10 hole shot tires full of gold ice screws it hooks up great but it takes clutches with it after about 2 seasons of ice riding I am running a 15 tooth front sprocket and stock 42 tooth rear sprocket,A DG excelleraror pipe and header uni air filter other wise stock. any suggestions on what I need to do to make them last I do plan on a big bore sooner or later reccomendations on that whould also be appreciated what a little more power I am neck and neck with a 400ex right now . I run a local river and there are some open straight ares but also has alot of tight turns, I have a couple buddies with 85 atc 250rs and they are gone in the straights but I can reel them in and pass once up river in the tights it pisses them off lol any feed back would be great thanks DEREK

are you useing stock fibers and HD springs?
if not start there.....if you want springs that are heavier then HD springs i can get you some valves springs that work great in my buddys 460cc 350x motor
stock springs are around 45-50 #
HD springs are 75#
just the outter valve spring is 100# and if you use both springs they are 150#
multiply by 4 and thats the clamping force each set of springs will give you....the dual valve springs are stiff to pull in but not near as bad as you would think if you use a good pearch/lever combo.

You might just have to change the clutch every year. The price you pay for going big sometimes. SWIGIN knows what is going on with the 350s' though. If you would have seen his quad running yesterday, you would be more than convinced. Sweetest quad I've ever seen.
