250x in an 82 200?? Possible?

I got an 82 200 last night that came with a plow (from a big red refit for the 200) but a 200 has no reverse. I have a spare good running 250x motor with reverse. I am wondering if anyone has swapped one in a hard tail atc? That way I'd have reverse....sucks I wouldn't have the autoclutch though.

try a rolling 250r freame,and with min mod it'll fit... There is an article on de-clutching a 200x-might work for you..I have learned a lot from this site and the other one.

The biggest hassle would be putting a shaft drive motor into a chain drive frame, too much work I would say.

I think the 250x is the same size as the 350x motor, much too tall for the 200 frame without cutting and welding.
