I'm rather curious as to what's still out there for the Zs.

I know thanks to a few members, plastics are fairly easy to come by. But what about bearings, do the Banshee rear ends swap.

What's all out there? Sprock has the coolheads and big bore kits, but are cylinders themselves still fairly easy to find?

Can the stock fuel pump keep up with the 330? can fuel pumps still be found new?

What about radiators? any options?

What's the major issues with the bikes? Picking up a new project in a while.

Goat just about everything is out there.

Sprock has :
full plastic sets
coolheads
bigbore kits
beefy base gaskets
hi-flow waterpumps
quickchange clutch covers
extended swingarms are in the works
As well as SEVERAL other things

Hagen - Greenboy has -
stator covers
footpegs
tail light brackets

Shawn - Sblt500r has -
billet shifters
boost bottles
radiator gaurds
rear fender mounts
chain guards
motor mounts

AllBalls has all the bearing kits you need. Which you can get from member DADS.

I am currently working on oversized radiators. But that wont happen until after JAN 1.

The stock fuel pump works perfectly.

Clutch covers are prone to cracking. But thats because most guys can't start there bike properly.

Waterpumps are prone to failing. But if properly pinned they will work perfect. You can even upgrade to sprocks hi-flow pump.

Ronnie - Yamahondaman used to have alot of stuff. But I don't believe he will be messing with it anymore. You may have to contact sprock for all his stainless goodies.

what's the power output of a 330z?

Power looks mighty impressive if you have seen moshmans 310 in action against many sport quads and shee's it lays a nice whoopin on many in the drags.

As far as pipes. DG's are most common. There are a few rarities rolling around LRD, Trinity, Bassani, Cobra, etc. JEMCO is building sectionals still for both stock and bigbore motors.

I want to have Rich at Dynoport build me a sectional for my bigbore.

Believe me, between what Jeff and Mike are able to come up with, I really wish I had a Z and was a Tri-Z fan......

The stuff Sprock is making and what Ronnie is capable of is simply amazing.

We need a Honda guy to get things rolling on red :D

I do like your tachs John.

As far as parts go, used parts are fairly cheap, and availible.

The banshee rearend:

The axle is a direct bolt from a Banshee, or a Blaster

The sprocket hubs are a direct bolt up to the Z

The wheel hubs from a Z are the same as a Blaster, but not the Banshee.

And here's a thread that may help:

They are very comfy great bikes. get it, build it, enjoy! :)

Picking up a new project in a while.

A little off-topic but any idea on the color scheme for this new «project»...?

the new color scheme will either be black, machined, and orange plastics....

or

total sleeper except for the pipe.

It will likely be the first option.

but seeing as how this is a couple of grand...it's gonna be at least 6 months before I start assembly.

My goal is to finish the 350x before summer...COMPLETELY. it'll be a year and a half build, but worth it in the end.

And where is this project Z coming from????

The Z's are very easy to get parts for. A lot of newer stuf bolts right on. Gone are the days of needing a big budget to biuld a good Z. Depending on what you want out of it and what you want to spend you can do anything with them.
