Hey I have seen these things mentioned before and i know they are RARE but what exactly are they and what makes them so great? I assume its a 200x frame with a 250r motor or are these acual 200 r motors? Just wondering as i want to expand my trike knowledge!:)

It's basically a liquid R with a shortened stroke and cylinder down to 200cc to compete in 200cc classes.

No, it has nothing to do with a 200X. It is a 250R frame with a sleeved down 250R motor - I think they raced them in the 200 class. Someone else could elaborate more - or you could just use the search tool here on the forums..................

Well he's kind of right. Honda's factory works bikes were a 200X framed liquid MTX200R motored trikes. Privateers had to go with a 250R de-bore or de-stroked 250R engine. The factory works MTX 200R engine was borrowed from a two wheeler enduro bike from over seas. Do a "200R" search here for more info. ;)

Was going to chime in but I don’t think I need too… I do believe you summed that up rather well Mr. Brown… ;)

A Selvys 200R would keep up with a mildly modified 250R in the right circumstances. The power hit is pretty nuts and it will rev like nobodys business! I had a lot of fun riding mine on the ice. The sleeved down motor was worthless, it didn't really have a very useable powerband (too narrow). The factory 200R that the A team had was actually a frankensteined 200X chassis with the MTX200R engine in it and even that's debateable. There was alot of handmade parts on those things.

I would have bought yours but the Selvys 200R just doesn't have the PUNCH I'm looking for. I guess I'm a 250R+ thrill seeker. lol NOw the factory A Team 200R, 200X with a MTX200R engine would be "THE FIND". Debatable.

Hmmm, doesn't have the punch? It had more punch than my piped and jetted 250 but it didn't have the top speed. 6th is nearly worthless on a 200. Did you see the video of my bike? You are correct though about a factory 200 being "THE FIND".
